This year's winners of the Change Leader award and a place in our Swedish Incubator are:

    • Mustafa Zatara and Förorts Entreprenörer

In the public debate, the suburbs are usually portrayed in a negative light. Förorts Entreprenörer provide and highlight positive role models from Sweden's suburbs.

    • Susanna Cabander and Prolingus

More children need early help in acquiring language and linguistic abilities - to be able to communicate with their surroundings, avoid social exclusion and have good conditions to learn to read and write and succeed in school. Prolingus creates entertaining, research-backed products for early language and reading skills.

    • Natalia Leguisamo and Elemental

In an era where creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are the superpowers of the next generations, kid's abilities need continuous engagement. TinkerClub provides kids with tools to unlock their creative potential, and offers a secure community for those with special interests in STEAM.

    • Yusuf Hussein and Rise and Shoot

The lack of access to equipment, knowledge and networks in the creative sector has led to an underrepresentation of creators with a suburban background. Through a photography program, activities and artistic visits, Rise and Shoot opens doors for young creators in the suburbs, and cultivates an environment where their creative potential can flourish and make a real impact.

    • Charbel Gabro and the Samtalsringen

Outreach and segregation are greater than ever in Sweden. Samtalsringen builds bridges through inspiration, conversations and events.

    • Samira Rahman and We Listen In

We Listen In aims to strengthen the mental health of multicultural women. Their research-backed activities include empowerment workshops and retreats, mentoring, social and cultural events, book circles, empowerment retreats, co-working places, public education, internships and work opportunities.

    • Seal of quality: A place in our incubator provides a seal of quality as we have a very competitive selection process to participate in the program.

We are surrounded by problems, but also by incredibly driven people with innovative ideas. We know that they often need help to take their ideas further, and it feels fantastic to be able to offer these entrepreneurs a place in the incubator to give them just that.

Andréa Råsberg, Sweden Country Manager at Reach for Change
